Not Sandra but no Derek. Depends on what you mean by trains Lol! On the London Underground unless the train is going overground as is the case in some instances, a mobile phone will not work. Give you an example, travelling from my home Kilburn in London to GDBA Inner London Centre at Euston, train came to a hault, very long delay, possability of not getting to the meeting on time, I refer to the Meet & Greet. I was not in a position to contact GDBA Inner London Centre to advise of this. There was someone, Andreas, waiting at Euston Square to meet me. He just had to wait until I arrived!!! Not very polite from my point but I could not contact him. Fortunately on that occasion the delay was only about 15 minutes. As for mainline trains, this is very variable depending on the type of toraine, if that is the correct word to use, the train is passing, for example a very mountainous district, then the signal can be lost. If speaking on the mobile phone it can cut out when signal is weak. Now it may be that more powerful mobile phones such as the iPhone do work in these extreme conditions. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Derek Hornby" <derek.hornby_uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Sandra
Well sorry to ask a silly question, but do mobile phones always work
on trains.

Hi Derek,

I am not sure I think your best bet would be to phone them and ask them
direct. If its true, then I was not aware of this.

Sandra

Hi Sandra
Is it correct that Trekker won't work on new trains.

I ask because I was thinking of having one,
Linked to Braille note. And I was thinking
When on a train, I could then easily use it to find out
What station the train has stopped at.
But I was told it won't work on new trains.

Regards, Derek

Hi Alfred,
I'm not Jacky, but when I bought my Trekker Breeze in June of this year,
including the post code package it cost me £585 so yes, it's a significant
price drop. Boo Hoo!

Cheers,
Sandra.
