you are wrong, there would be ample work for a fulltime employee given the size and scope of the service that company offers!

No but from what I gather there would appear to be a blind employee available when the need arises and why have someone available who is not required 100% of the time. I could be wrong but again I believe there arevisually impaired employees at that company. I always find I get excellent support from a blind person and often with empathy that person can be on thesame wave-length as myself but there is always a time when we visuallyimpaired need to rely on sighted support. I had a problem with my Internet Explorer today but it was discovered that I was having a tool bar get in the way of my screen reader. I could not tell what was happening even though I have some vision and use magnification but a sighted person was able to tellme what the problem was. I was aware of a blind employee at that Company for some time. We have Jonathan Tyrer, who works UK wide for us in thisrole. He is not a full time employee, but he works for us on a day to daybasis and has been successful. He has a very wide experience base - notjust Freedom products, but all software and hardware and also more recently Apple solutions. This for me is what we are all about, looking after our customer base, soif you would like to learn more about the Focus 40 Blue just contact usand we will do our best to help. Sight & Sound are aware that it does not work with the N97 Mini as I told them. Also informed Freedom Scientific. Maybe it has to do with N97 Mini being a 5th generation phone but it works well with the other phones. Don't Sight & Sound have a service, well they did when Jackie worked there, where someone would come out and show you a Braille display, in that case, the person could try it with our phone and then you would know before purchasing it. There is a really nice man atFreedom Scientific who uses the Focus Blue all the time with his phone.I wrote to him too re the drivers but whether they do anything about it or not is anyone's guess. While I was disappointed, I have to say of course that the Focus Blue is excellent in conjunction with PC also. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Catherine Turner" <catherineturner2007@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 2010 9:24 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Braille display optionsAh. Did you ask the manufacturer about this? Is there a particular reason why it doesn't work with the n97 mini? Is there any way of knowing before purchase whether it would work or not. I will have toask Sight And Sound about it, but presumably if it didn't work I couldreturn it for a refund. So I am tentatively looking at braille display options. I need either to be able to write notes on the braille display, or for the display to work with my Nokia E5 mobile phone running Talks. Having used an 18 cell display for some time now I know I would not want to go below that. Am I right in thinking that the Focus 40 blue, at £1995 from Sight And Sound, would be the cheapest option?
