It is quite possible that the delay may be that Amazon have to supply a 
localised version of the Kindle software for the UK market and that this may be 
on its way. Has anybody actually asked rather than venting about it?

Well this is not good news,

It's not available in the UK it's terrible that yet again we are left 
out it should be available over here as well.
