Not necessarily damaged, Hannah. the /damaged meant (and/or). In other words, you may also benefit from running Scandisk and fixing any errors.
Hope this clarifies. <Smiles> -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx----- Original Message ----- From: "Hannah Day" <hannahday1989@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

huh so you think my hared drive is damaged. i have a few disc errors but they don't seem to cause much problem. in what way do you think it's damaged?----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Pearson" <carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: "Access UK Mailing List" <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, August 17, 2007 12:44 PM Subject: [access-uk] FOR YOUR INTEREST AND CONSIDERATION . . ..Hi all,I've been thinking particularly about Hannah's recent problems with OE, and possibly relating these to a fragmented/damaged hard drive.I'd just like to comment that I was most annoyed, after updating Jaws lately when again I started to notice a familiar problem (seen before and rectified for a while). Jaws started to crash if I was cursoring around web pages and sometimes in Internet Explorer. Was this Jaws related, or IE? Well, dunno exactly, but I do know it was infuriating . . . but that, since using Diskeeper (so highly recommended on this list), the problems have totally gone away again and I'm speeding along. I did used to defrag my disc from time to time using the Windows utility - but I'm certainly very pro Diskeeper and am off to buy it now having had the demo for a few days!Hope this helps someone! -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
