I just checked with Daniel, and the E5 is not abandoned, they still sell it
well in developing countries, and I have a feeling it will go well in the UK,
for those who don't need Wi-Fi.

I'll send you the manuals as attachments off list.
I too prefer the EVO 10 over the Stream especially since I don't use
DRM-protected files such as Bard/NLS here in the states or Audible.com, etc.
But mostly I use my Clip Zip as it's much smaller to listen to MP3 audiobooks,
although I recently put a clip on the back of my EVO10 incase I wanted to
listen to an eBook using the bilt-in TTs.
I have no idea if he has licenses for those TTS voices. Other than the Ivona
voices on the players I have only heard one other TTS voice which was very
robotic an dsounded really bad comparatively . I wish one could easily have the
freedom to install whatever Ivona TTS voice one preferred on the player. I even
got Daniel to send me some EVO5 players with both English and Spanish on them
and it created a nightmare for me whenever a customer reset the player to
default factory settings and it came up speaking Spanish.

By the way, I like the E10 better than the Stream, but that's personal
view, not with my sales hat on. I'd love to get some more voices put
into it though, like Acapela or Nuance. I don't know if Daniel has

least the one for the EVO 10.

Also Steve, the Stream does not read unprotected MOBI files while the
EVO playrs do. The EVO 5's FM radio left something to be desired here
in the US and I wonder how it does across the pond? The FM Radio on
the EVO 10 however works wonderfully in the states.

What I can say though is most of the features of the stream are
supported on the E10 if not all of them.
The E5 doesn’t support Wi-Fi, which is why it is so inexpensive, but
it supports all other features. It also has a MicroSD card slot.
The other thing is that the Stream won’t read PDF files, the E5 and
E10 read them fine without any conversion. So they are seriously
good Daisy players in my view.
They also have Ivona voices.
