Hi Darren,

The demo will add the occasional letter d, that's about all.

If you need an evaluation version, please contact me off
list.

As regards the list of embossers, try looking under the
letter I for Index. It is definitely there, "Index Everest"

George.

Hi George

I've just downloaded a demo version of Duxbury to see what
its like. I notice there is a credit to your good self in
'About'.

I just have two questions. What are the limitations of the
demo? Does it run out after 30 days or do you need to
restart the PC as with the 40 minute demo of Jaws?

Also I went through the list of embossers supported but
couldn't find the Everest embosser in the list. Would the
generic setting be ok or does the Everest embosser come
under a different name that is already in the list?

Darren.

Hi Darren,

Since we support Duxbury as well, feel free to call.

(You've not travelled with Silverlink Trains recently - have
you?)

George.

Hi George

Thanks for that advice. I've never used a braile embosser
before and just assumed as with most peripherals you would
require some driver software.

I will connect the embosser to another PC and once the
Ducskbury software CD has been located will run it on said
PC and see what happens.

What a way to run a railroad

Cheers
Darren

Hi Darren,

You do not necessarily require drivers for Index Embossers.

However, much depends on what braille software you are
using. For example, Duxbury embosses direct to the port.

If you'd want to talk it over, call me on 01604 792777.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] Everest embosser software

Hi All

I am trying to obtain driver software for an Everest Braille
Embosser. This is currently connected to a machine running
windows XP. But it needs to be moved to another machine
running the same OS.

The problem is that the Original CD that came with the
embosser has gone missing. So I am wondering if anyone knows
where I might be able to download or if thats not possible
purchase the driver software.

Many thanks
Darren.
