[access-uk] Ethernet Cable

Hi List.
My sister is trying to set up her first wireless connection, but has become
slightly perplexed by one thing in particular! The directions and
accompanying diagrams show a physical connection between the router and the
laptop via a Ethernet cable. Which means of course that its not wireless at
all!
Could someone please explain to a couple of wireless newbie's what this
actually means?
