hi Mandy,
regarding the envision glasses turning back on, despite their manual
saying differently the glasses will turn themselves back on when you
open the arms of the glasses.
their manual says you have to press and hold the power button to turn
them on once turned off, but this is not the case and it took several
emails with them before they confirmed they do turn on when the arms are
opened.
as they take about one minute to boot up this is very confusing as i
initially thought i had a faulty pair as i was opening the arms putting
them on and then pressing and holding the button to turn them on and
nothing was happening.
where in reality what was happening was that when i opened the arms to
put them on they were starting to boot up without me knowing and when i
pressed and held the power button as the boot up hadn't finished
pressing the power button was turning them back off before you heard
anything to indicate they were starting up.
i then discovered that if you didn't use them for a few days when you
turned them on there would be not much power left if any despite me
charging them to 100% before shutting them down.
again after a few emails envision confirmed that when the glasses are
shut down they lose
up to 20% of the battery power per day.
as i have said on this list before as far as i am concerned that is
rediculous, i have never seen any other battery powered device -use so
much power when supposedly shutdown.
the way i get around this is to leave the glasses perminently connected
to a charger when not in use so their always on 98 to 100 percent when i
pick them up.
i do a similar thing when taking them around with me by using a battery
power bank and connect the glasses to it with a magnetic right angled
usb C charging lead, this way the glasses are still kept charged and if
the lead was to be caught it wouldn't rip the glasses off my head and
instead all that would happen is that the lead would detach from the
glasses without causing any damage.
