Thanks, Jackie, I remembered that site last night from a recent conversation and went there ... Now I'll wait for my phone and go through the Talkback tutorial.

No doubt I'll have other questions but will try not to plague everyone too much! <Smiles>

Hi Carol

A good place to start with Android is at
www.inclusiveandroid.com

Like AppleVis, this website has lists of accessible utilities, tutorials and
ratings.

Good luck.

Subject: [access-uk] "Entering the World of Android ... Where to Begin"

Hi all,

OK, I'm getting a bit excited, knowing I'm going to get stuck in to some new
learning and getting a serious look and hands-on use of Android.

There's a heap of information out there, I now, but I basically need to
start with a list of gestures which work for VI's, so where's that "best
list". (A direct URL would be really helpful).

I'm starting the easy way, with my Moto G set up and ready to go with
Marshmallow and Eloquence installed, as my "Trusty Standby" for decent
speech, though I may delve into others later ...

Is there anything I need to know about the onboard keyboard? Any
suggestions for dual Apple/Android keyboards are welcome!

Nothing is too small or simple to tell me right now. I'm sort of in that
category where, like a person well-known to us, maybe can't answer a
call. (BTW: I think I've gleaned that one, having tried to help on that
occasion) ... but you get the gist. On or off list would be most welcome
also!

Thanks!

Carol P
