Hi John
To the best of my knowledge and belief, Apple TV does not include Freeview
or terrestrial channels whatsoever. Perhaps you can get these via the BBC
iPlayer on Apple TV, but I am only guessing. That is why Apple TV has never
been a huge hit, because most of it is subscription and internationally
based.

what a sad situation for us eh with regards to doing recordings as a blind
person. so i must ask about the apple tv something i have never thought
about or looked in to it at all. so of course you must be able to get the
normal tv channels on it like the freeview. just a thought i have the iphone

I haven't subscribed to Sky now for a long time, I just don't have the
time to watch football, and tend to listen to some of it free on the
radio. We still use our Sky HD box though for free channels, but the
Sky Plus app doesn't allow you to record because you need to subscribe
to a package for that to work. Thank goodness for TVonics then which
we use when we want to record a documentary or something.

to me sky has just gone up which is very expensive now so, am i
correct unlless you can use the iphone app with sky you cannot record

Sky have really got away with not providing accessibility on their
boxes unless you can use one of the apps. I personally think Ofcom
should have come down on them and other providers like Virgin Media
really hard given what they charge people. Still, a rant for
another time and place! (smile.)

These only work with freeview, not sky.
