Hi Barry - have solved it now by using system restore to go back 4 days to when
it was working ok. I still see the same things in the edit menu though, such as
the option to mark all messages as read, and as before, it is still telling me
this option is unavailable! -

  SOrry Andy,

It was shareware have to buy to be able to view my Active X's in it now.
It's one of their plus features that must only work for a few days.

it was definitely called Microsoft Contact Card Active X and it was at th
etop of my list, which I'm presuming was the last active X installed.

    Barry -

I've just installed Win patrol, and looked on the active X page from the
system tray, there's a list of dll files, many beginning with xml, but I can't
see anything referring to Microsoft contact card, can you give me a bit more of
a clue? -

I managed to get this sorted by downloading and installing Win Patrol.

Going into Active X settings on the programs system tray menu and
disabling a Microsoft Contact Card Active X control.

          Hi all -

This is happening in Windows Mail, under Vista; all messages are
showing as unread, even after I've opened and read them; also, messages that I
had saved in my inbox after reading, as of today, are now showing as unread! If
I hit the application key, it tells me that "mark as read" is unavailable.
Anybody know how I can change this, and get back to how it was?

          Thanks -

          Andy
