I remember the version of OE that was with Win 98 had a set of folders for each account. I remember having lots of accounts set up with NTL as you could do then, and each 1 had its own set of folders, inbox, sent etc. That's why I was so confused when in Windows Mail, it didn't. when you changed ids the folders for 1 account would disappear and be replaced by the new 1s. I think each account had different passwords to, though might be wrong on that. To my knowledge, there is no way to do this in OE, not without setting up the accounts all over again and opting out of the use local folders option. I don't know if OE even supports this or has this option, its been along time since I used Outlook Express. I know in Thunderbird you can have everything go into 1 set of folders, or you can have certain mail go into a subfolder of a certain account. This would solve your problem if you can get this working in OE. On Wednesday, July 08, 2009 11:36 PM, Tony Sweeney said: Hi Eleanor! Now could you not just make things just a little simpler for yourself! *smile* Regards Tony ----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor Burke To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ; bcab@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, July 08, 2009 6:16 PM Subject: [access-uk] E-mail accoounts Hi At present I have set up message rules so that messages say from access uk or bcab go into different folders in my Inbox. I have say a folder for access uk and another one for bcab. Now my question is this, I have different e-mail accounts, e.g. eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx eleanorburke1@xxxxxxxxxx and then I have yet another which is neela4@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and there are 3 other accounts. When I go to send an e-mail from any of these accounts I have to go to the From drop down box and choose which account I want the e-mail to go from. Now if I forget to do this, the person could get an e-mail from the wrong account. Is there any way I can set up Mailboxes in outlook Express to overcome this problem? On my mobile phone I have been able to do this so for example all access uk and bcab e-mails come in to my bt account. On the other hand e-mails which are private and confidential come in to my neela account and are kept separately. Hope I am making myself clear and that someone can direct me how I can do this.
