hi andy, if you want to contact me privately with the item number, i can take a look at it if you like? i don't need access to your account or anything, but just the item page itself. i'm not saying it'll be of any help, smile, but i've been using ebay regularly for 4 years so i think i'm pretty experienced.

Hi Kevin - I feel a bit more encouraged that you have actually seen this before. The fact that he has been an Ebay seller for 4 years, and has an almost 100 percent feedback score from several thousand tradings, and is Square dealer[or was that Fred Elliot] or whatever it is called, registered, does give confidence. One of the things I don't know is if my credit card companycovers me for buying off auction websites, in the event of credit card fraudor stolen ID. - Andy----- Original Message ----- From: "kevin and Emma" <kream@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 11:31 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Ebay and credit card authentification | hi, not sure if it's something similar or not. but i've come across sellers | who when requiring payment via paypal for example, state they won't accept| payments from you, or ship to an adress unless it's a "verified" account.| i'd suggest looking through the sellers details to see if they have any | details/restrictions on who they will deal with. | kevin - (lord l) | "Civilization exists by geological consent, subject to change without | notice"-Will Durant | contact me: | email/msn: kream@xxxxxxxxxxxx | skype: lordandladyl| ----- Original Message ----- | From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>| To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 11:02 PM | Subject: [access-uk] Re: Ebay and credit card authentification | | | > Christopher and all - | > | > I haven't dealt with this seller before, and have never seen that message | > saying you are not authorised to buy this item because you don't meet the | > sellers requirements which in this case, is to have a credit card | > registered | > on file. | > | > It says about this seller: | > | > discountsatnav | > ( | > 11113 | > Feedback score is 10,000 to 24,999) | > Member is a PowerSeller | > About Me | > Feedback: | > 99.7% Positive | > Member: | > since 30-Jan-03 in United Kingdom | > Registered as a business seller | > table end | > | > The above looks quite good if genuine, lots of buyers, and very high | > positive feedback, I'm just concerned about this thing of giving my credit| > card details; how necessary is this, when he wants to be paid by paypal| > anyway! - | > | > Andy | >| > ----- Original Message ----- | > From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>| > To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | > Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 10:39 PM | > Subject: [access-uk] Re: Ebay and credit card authentification | > | >| > | Andy, unless you really really trust the seller, don't proceed to give| > your | > | credit card details, otherwise you could be a victim of fraud.
