Hi Tink,

I tried FileZilla the other day and it basically seemed fine. However,
once I'd selected the drive from which to upload the file, the list of
files and folders appeared blank to JAWS. Looking at it with a sighted
colleague, we realised that this was because the window displaying the
files was tiny. Once my colleague had enlarged it with the mouse, I could
see the file list with JAWS. The problem we had was that once I exited
the program and then went back in, the file list window was tiny again.

have you had this problem at all?

Mel,

Although Windows Explorer can be used as an ftp client, just by typing

the ftp address into the address bar whilst in Windows Explorer, it
doesn't
allow access to all files on an ftp server.

I use FileZilla, a free, open source application, which is
straightforward to use and seems accessible.

To download it and try, go here: http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

Tink.

Hi All,

I'm looking for an FTP Client that is easy to use with JAWS. I need to
use this at work. My colleagues are using FileZilla which was fairly easy
to use except that I couldn't navigate through the file list within
folders as it keeps minimising the window on the screen. My manager has
asked me to look for an alternative free FTP client. Anyone any ideas of
ones they have used successfully with JAWS, or, if you've used FileZilla
perhaps you could give me some tips?

Many thanks

Mel
