for me it isn't only happening on the access-uk list.
i'm having the same problem on the jaws and windows 10 lists as well.
and in each case it is only with emails that are in plain text, emails that are
in html or multi part jaws reads them fine.
in all cases NVDA is reading all the emails without a problem.
plus jaws was reading them all fine until i installed the upgrade to 2021.
i do use a not so well known email client called Beckie which comes from Japan
and there hasn't been any update to this, so something has changed in the way
jaws is interacting with the program.
the jaws upgrade is working really well for me in every other way apart from
than with the email program.
