Nope, they appear just as blank with JAWS 2020, I have both on my machine
for testing.

hi Steve and Paul,
i think this might be related to the new jaws 2021.
it would be interesting to see if everyone who appear to receive blank
messages have installed the new version of jaws.
this started happening to me as soon as i installed it.
and from looking at the properties of the messages it's the ones that arrive
as plain text that jaws isn't reading.
if i go into the message, select all and copy it and then paste it into
notepad jaws then reads the message.
likewise if i close jaws, load NVDA and then go into that same message that
appeard blank to jaws NVDA sees and reads it without a problem.
