Hi Barrie,
If you go to your system tray, enter on the right click button and
then select open window.
Near to the bottom is how Eset is displayed (Stand or advance mode)
You need to somehow click on this and choose advance mode.
Having done this, close this window and return back to the system
tray.
Now press the right click button and you will see the following items:
Open window
Computer scan...
Update
Advanced setup...
Block network traffic
Do not filter network traffic (Disable firewall)
Disable antivirus and antispyware protection
Show network connections
Log files
Quarantine

would like to shut down ESET Smart Security just so I can download a
program as I think it is stopping the download.
