Hi Peter,

My next step would be to use C Cleaner and do a Registry cleanup.

Tom.

Hi Peter,

If your Dropbox settings have gotten corrupted, uninstalling Dropbox and reinstalling it might not fix the problem. The reason being that the Dropbox settings folder isn't deleted along with the rest of the program.

Once you uninstall Dropbox, go into the Document and Settings folder on your C: drive.
Next, go into the sub folder called Peter.
If you don't have a sub folder called Peter, select the folder with the users name. Next, go into the Application Data folder, and in there you'll find a Dropbox folder.
Delete this folder and you're ready to reinstall Dropbox again.

This should give you a clean installation with no errors.

I'm presuming you're using Win XP, if not then the Dropbox settings folder may be located elsewhere.

Tom.

I'm postimg this request again in the hope that someone is able to assist. When I try to start dropbox, I get an error message which informs me that dropbox is unable to access the windows registry. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times and still get the same result.
