Hello Alisdir,

This is marvellous news. I'll set things up and let you know how it goes.

John.

Great! I've just hacked a Accessible BBC iPlayer Catalogue program to
go with it.

You'll need to download a new version of the Accessible iPlayer and the Catalogue program into the same folder on your machine. Here are
the two links:
http://download.webbie.org.uk/test/BBCIPlayerOnline.exe
http://download.webbie.org.uk/test/BBCiPlayerCatalogue.exe

The BBC iPlayer Online program works as before.

The new program, iPlayer Catalogue, downloads the entire BBC iPlayer television catalogue from the BBC iPlayer site. This can take several minutes: you'll get a progress message telling you where it's up to
and hear Internet Explorer ticking away in the background.

When it is finished all the programmes are displayed in a big alphabetical list. Just cursor up and down and hit return when you get
a programme you want.

Assuming you've correctly put the latest BBC iPlayer Online program in the same folder, it'll now start up and after a few seconds start your programme playing. Same limitations as before, you have to close the Online program to stop playing (or tab around with your screenreader for the Flash controls). I would recommend leaving the Catalogue program open until you're sure you've finished with it because of the
slow startup while it gets the catalogue.

Ideally, of course, the BBC would provide an RSS or OPML feed for all the programmes on their site. If anyone is reading this from the
BBC...

Do let me know how you get on!

Alasdair

Hello again Alasdir,

I've just tried your fix/mini program for getting to the
essentials of the BBC Iplayer andit works a treat. It will be a valuable asset, even in its current basic incarnation,
to your WebbIE suite. thanks for the effort and time
 involved

 John.

P.S.: I would have let you know earlier but I've just been enjoying Monday's Mastermind, which I missed at the time.
