hello terry,

by what i've read on the web, microsoft are staggering the download of xp
sp2 when getting it via windows update and auto update to prevent everyone
trying to get it at the same time.

pete.

Hi Pete
Is there any reason as to why it doesn't appear in the critical updates
option?

Regards

Terry

hello ray,

yes you can, i have just done it.
sp2 installed with the latest service pack 4 for windoweyes works well.
the way i got it was by going to:
www.flexbeta.net
if you then search for the string:
download the full english
the link labelled here is on the line below this string, and clicking on it
will get you the english version from microsoft.

I've been prompted to ask about donwloading Windows XP SP2 by a question
which appeared on the GW Micro list, but has had no reply there as yet.

CAn you download this major release without actually installing straight
away? It would be good to be able to do this.

RAy.
