[access-uk] Downloading Books With Freedombox

Hello
Can anyone advise me as to how to download, and subsequently read books
using the Project Gutenberg site with Freedombox. I have tried, with no
success at all. Having downloaded a zip file of a novel, FB won't allow me
to open the file as it says no files of this type will be opened in case of
viruses etc. It seems a bit pointless to have access to a site, without the
facility of using its facilities. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Is there a relatively simple way of using the Project Gutenberg site with
internet explorer?
