Hi John.

go to default programs in the Windows control panel or PC settings app. You can manage which programs work by default with a variety of functions including media playback, email and of course internet browsing. It is recommended that you use Internet Explorer 11 with Windows 10 for the present.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [access-uk] Does anyone know how to make IE11 the default browser?

As the subject line says, when I want to go onto the Net with my
preferred browser, I type Iexplore into the run dialogue.

However, if I am reading an email with a link to a site embedded in it
and press ENTER on this link, what opens is the annoying and not very
user-friendly to NVDA version of IE11, which is  the app version.

Does anyoneknow how I can ensure that only the standard Iexplore version
opens in all cases. I have looked in the Associations dialogue list but
only one version of IE11 appears and this is already the default, so I
assume that that is the app version.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
John.
