Hi all, For anyone interested in this topic, I received the following today from the Hummingbird UK support team: I have checked with our R&D department and they tell me that HostExplorer will work with the JAWS screen reader. There is also a note from IBM on the internet regarding IBMs testing of HostExplorer with the JAWS screen reader, here is the link; http://www-306.ibm.com/fcgi-bin/common/ssi/ssialias?infotype=an&subtype= ca&supplier=897&letternum=ENUS205-248 Their contact details are: <http://www.opentext.com/2/email-signature-logo-hummingbird> Hummingbird - The Open Text Connectivity Solutions Group Tel. 0118 902 9517 Fax 0118 936 0606 Switchboard 0118 978 2800 Mulberry Business Park Fishponds Rd Wokingham Berkshire RG41 2GY Web: http://connectivity.hummingbird.com <http://connectivity.hummingbird.com/> Regards Dave Dave, The Hummingbird that the Council uses has very similar structure like windows explorer. The one I now use is called Council Document Management, (CDM), and works like windows explorer. -------------------------------------------------- Thank you Ali -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ankers, Dave (UK) Sent: 04 September 2008 13:31 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Does JAWS work with Hummingbird host explorer and BaaN? Ali, What is CDM? or should it be cmd? If I enter "cmd"in the Run command box, I enter MS Dos, then if I enter "help", I get a list of commands, which JAWS can read. So from this, can I suppose that JAWS will work with Hummingbird, depending on which modules have been used. Cheers Regards Dave Ankers I use CDM through Hummingbird with JAWS no problem at all. You may need assistance at the beginning to configure the profile and the view. . -------------------------------------------------- Thank you Ali -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ankers, Dave (UK) Sent: 03 September 2008 12:06 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Does JAWS work with Hummingbird host explorer and BaaN?
