Hi there. Hoping this isn't too far off topic. We've just started a new series of disabled student diaries where we're following 3 students for their first 4 weeks at university. One of the students that this list may be interested in following is 18 year old Andrea. She's visually impaired. The technology she's hoping to use at uni is JAWS on a samsung netbook and she's also put in for a GPS enabled device to help her around. She started nearly two weeks ago and as yet her Disabled Student Allowance hasn't arrived meaning she's still not got her technology. It's all here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/ouch/fact/disabled_student_diaries_2009.shtml There's an introductory video of her as well as week one of her diary so far. Week 2 is published tomorrow and subsequently on Wednesdays. Disabled Student Diaries 2009 ...Damon Damon Rose Senior Content Producer bbc.co.uk/ouch BBC Vision Learning Tel: 020 8752 4427 (x0224427) email: damon.rose@xxxxxxxxx Have you heard the award-winning Ouch Podcast yet?
