Hi Yusuf, . not an acceptable response in my view. RNIB Campaigns team have now advised me that if you, me, and anyone else who's had fun with alternative formats or brailled railcards that aren't quite, they should email campaigns@xxxxxxxxxxx and the team will support a group letter to get this side of the service smartened up. It seems from what I've heard, that if you apply online, the service works smoothly, but if you deal with them over the phone, the results are unpredictable. That needs to be addressed. If we take it to the Campaigns team, that's probably the end of the discussion on the subject for this list, although of course, we are talking about emailed information as part of the service. When I received my card the Label hadn't been put on and when I rang to ask why I was told it would be sent separately and I'd need to get a sighted person to attach it to the card. Because they are the same size as the train tickets, I asked for a copy with a Braille label, saying "Railcard". I got one. Then they said that the cards they'd been sending out had a fault which meant that before the end of the period for which the card was valid, the print on it would have faded to illegibility. So they kindly sent a replacement card, but without the originally requested Braille label. When I rang to request that they replace like with like, they said "unfortunately..." I've had to put my own braille label on the card, but needed sighted help to make sure I didn't overwrite any crucial printed information. Has anybody had a similar experience or a more satisfactory outcome?
