Hi Carol

The only way to do it would be to play the file through the nebula software in
real time then record it with something like total recorder.

So is there no way that you can play the file, with audio description, on a
portable device?

    Hi Barry

It will play the file but the audio description track cause the file to be
played in a sluggish fashion so it's unlistenable.

Hi Steve, I have just found by accident that the Victor Stream happily
plays mp2 files. I see that there is an option to save TV programmes as mp2,
do you know if that records the audio description as well?

Many thanks for your help, and all the best,
      Barry G

        Hi Barry,

If you have Sound Forge, you could convert the MP2 files to MP3. I
have not seen anything yet to convert MPG files to MP3 for TV though.

Having said all that, you will lose any audio description if you
convert the files.

        All the best

        Steve

Hi folks. I got myself a DigiTV unit just before Christmas and think
it's excellent.

I wonder if anyone using this has found a portable device on which to
play the recordings, or has found a way of converting the files to a format
that can be played on a portable device? I have a Nokia N95, a Trekker/Maestro
and a Book Courier.

        All the best,
        Barry G
