Hi Phil I definitely wouldn't recommend the N95 internal GPS. Ian uses the Hollux 1000 external receiver with his phone, and it's really quick at getting a fix. The built-in version on the N95 is slow and nowhere near as responsive. If a separate gps receiver really is the best option then I may rethink and look at the n81 / n82, I definitely want wlan connection and decent mp3 playback...more searching then I guess?! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Tristram Llewellyn Sent: 16 June 2008 15:17 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Difference between 2 N95's You can stretch it a bit if you turn off the wi-fi scanning and the bluetooth, neither of which are a problem to re-activate if you need. The wi-fi scanning is no loss you can still use wi-fi with when it is turned off if you know you are in range of a network you have details to log onto. The GPS is another battery guzzler, if you plan to use GPS seriously you would probably be better off with an external bluetooth unit anyway. Regards. They put that right withthe newer 8GB model. Regards. If not, what are the other key differences? Cheers, Phil ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
