Hi Mandy:
It is a Dell bolt-on utility which slows the machine and is a pain in the
rump as you have found out it comes up each time you turn on the machine.

David are you saying I don't need the Dell network assistant there at all?

Mandy.

Mandy:

Control panel
Add/remove programs
Install/uninstall
Tab until you get a list of programs
Cursor down until you find 'dell network assistant'.
Tab to hear something like change/remove - click on it.
Confirm your instruction.

Job done

David

I wouldn't know which bits of Dell software to remove so guess better to
leave well alone I just wondered if there's a default as I think I said I
wanted to do a profile of my network settings or my network and now it asks
me every whether I want to connect to the network I've done a profile of.
I should have left it just analyzing the network each time.

Mandy.

Mine came up for ages . . . but I don't see it often now, unless =
something=20
sort of crashes. Can't help much, except to say that you're not the =
only=20
one.

Actually, DELL puts on loads of ropey software and we cleared out loads =
of=20
mine when I first got my computer. It's running really well now.
