Hi, no you can't. You've got to tell the phone to disconnect from the server. To do this, once you've read and deleted all your e-mails from both the phone and the server (the messages get marked for deletion this way), you have to press soft key 2 until you're at the standby screen, or at least till you've exited the messaging application. You'll then be asked to disconnect from the server since you're still physically connected. So press soft key 1, and not only will you disconnect from the server, but your account will be synchronized on both the phone and the server, so that your messages really get deleted. Hope that helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Saqib" <saqib500@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 16 Jun 2008 14:51:15 +0100 Subject: [access-uk] Deleting e-mails from server > Hello. I have set my phone to automatically download e-mails from my BT server. I find once I have read the e-mails and deleted them from the phone and server, I still get duplicates on my PC. Sometimes this doesn't happen and the e-mails do get deleted from the server. Can someone tell me if their is a way to automatically delete the e-mails from the server once they are downloaded to my phone. > > I have the N81 8GB > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
