Hi Barry.

The one and only time i ran CCleaner it trashed my computer, so much so that i
had to completely reinstall windows. OK, I practically switched all the
cleaning operations to maximum, however I wanted to test the efficacy of the
software at its peak performance. In my view, any piece of software that can
damage a system to the extent that CCleaner did even if it is highly
customisable is a nono, Tune Up Utilities would never allow this kind of damage
to occur. The fact that my system was due for a reformat due to the number of
changes and programs I'd made and uninstalled is besides the point. With Tune
Up Utilities running on my machine, Iâm confident it can take care of those
automated routine maintenance tasks for me safely.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim,

I can check that out. Have you compared itâs clear up to C Cleaners? Iâd be
interested to see like for like which clears the most. I normally switch
processes off in the services.msc but Iâ all for a handy program thatâll let me
do this quickly.

Cheers,

Barry.

Hi Barry.

Actually, the latest version of Tune Up Utilities includes a very powerful
cleaner which can remove not only internet clutter and hidden debris, but can
also remove remnants of over 150 Windows programs, those remnants that
installers etc. leave behind. I consider myself a technical and competent
computer user and I was amazed at just how much junk the program removed, also
after its optimisations how much speedier my system was to start and shutdown.
The program also has a collection of tools that can help you prolonged battery
life if your using a laptop or boost performance for processor intensive apps
like games etc. by turning off all unnecessary background processes letting you
get the most from the hardware you have.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi all -

Under Vista home premium, where do I look to find the folder that holds cookies
and temp files, that it is safe to delete? I've looked in the Windows folder at
the temp folder, but everything in there looks too important to remove! -
