Hi, that's interesting Andrew. I remember one time, someone saying to me "you must defrag your drive at least once a week, it's very important". I started off that way back in the days of using Win98. Then, I just forgot and it would be a three month stretch inbetween defragging. Now, I always forget so.... I'd say, maybe once every six to eight months?

So, I understand it that defragging isn't as important on an NTSF file system as it is to a FATS 32 file system?

Justin

Hi,

I never do it. I work at a company with several hundred workstations
also and they never do it either. It shouldn't really be necessary with
NTFS drives,

Andrew.

How often do people defragment their drives as a matter of interest?
