Hi Mandy

Alternatively then, go to Control Panel, then Default Apps, and follow Pete’s
instructions from there to change browser.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Ok so that was a daft question.

However, when I press the Windows key and start typing default, various songs
with the initial letter such as A for America, start to play.

I think I have my laptop seset up in a strange way, I press Windows key and
cursor up and down for whatever I want, if I last used Mail then that shows up
first, Google Chrome next and so on.

Any ideas?

Mandy.

Hi Mandy

They are very similar given the Chromium version of Edge is based on Chrome.
What I like about it is that it hasn’t yet booted me out of a website such as
Amazon which Chrome has a tendency to do.

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions, I am unsure now whether to stick
with Chrome or go for Edge, are there specific keystrokes to use with Edge?

Mandy.

Hi Mandy

< /span>

In addition to Pete’s instructions, I would recommend the new Chromium Edge
which works a treat and is, in my personal opinion, better than Chrome.  You
can get it here,

<https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4501095/download-the-new-microsoft-edge-based-on-chromium>

https://support.microsoftcom/en-gb/help/4501095/download-the-new-microsoft-edge-based-on-chromium

Just run the executable from where it lands once downloaded.

hi Mandy

press the windows key and start typing default in to the edit box, by time you
have entered the first 3 or 4 letters your speech should announce default apps.

press enter on this.

tab down to where it says web browser Edge and hit the space bar.

tab down until it says google chrome and hit the space bar.

you will now be in the previous window with it showing web browser google chrome

just alt+f4 to close the window and your all done.

pete.
