Could it be that you've got the Google Toolbar installed?  Look in *Add and
remove programmes* for it.  If it's there, uninstall it.

Hi Mo,
Not necessarily a blank home page but one that won't keep doing a search 
for me every time I hit the address bar keys and after typing  in an url 
but that will bring me strraight to the website as in www.bbc.co.uk for 
example.
The Google home page was often bringing me to say a list of what they 
found for the url that I was typing in rather than to the website itself 
directly.
Perhaps a hhome page other than a google page might be an idea, what do 
you think?
