It's easier to make a simple table in Word if you don't know how to use Access. The way I would do this is as follows: 1. In Word, press Alt+A to get into tables. 2. Press I for insert. 3. Press T for table. This will start a tables wizard 4. Type the number of columns you want then press tab. 5. Type the number of rows you want then press tab. Don't worry if you don't know how many rows you want or if you think you need more as, when you are in the table and press tab in the last cell, it will create another row automatically. So, you could start with one row and just keep adding to the table as you go along. 6. The next tab is to select the width of each column. Use the up and down arrow keys to read the three selections. Fixed column width will set them to the width of the heading, fit to contents will set them to the width of the names in your case and fit to window, I think, sorts it so that it fits on the page. 7. At this point, the next three tabs don't really do much so just tab to *ok* and you've got your blank table ready to work in. To move around the table, use tab to go from cell to cell, left to right, and shift tab to go right to left. Use the up and down arrow keys to go up and down. I think that there are short cut keys to move around the table, but I don't know them. Simply type the details you want in each cell as you would in a word document. Hi all, I have been struggleing with trying to make a data base. I have a list of people who are on my papercrafts group and we swap and make 2 cards each per month. I wanted to make a data base of people who are sending and those who are sending to. I need to change it around each month so nobody sends and receives from the same people. I have 31 people in all. My problem is I can't get Jaws to read a data base, I have had access up but I just don't know what I am doing. Never had any lessons on this. My husband (sighted) eventually made the data base for me and sent it in an email for me to send on to the group. Problem: He made this in works and I couldn't read it with jaws. Is there a way? Secondly I tried copying and pasting it into a new email and sent it back to him (practice before sending it to my group as this needs to come from my own email account) but he said the email was blank, so it won't copy and paste. Any light on the subject much apreciated. Thanks, Christine W.
