Thanks, Martin, but I have a nasty feeling that "Windows 7 Starter
Edition" is lacking.

George.

I bought my wife an HP Mini netbook with Windows 7 starter Edition for
Christmass.

My son has loaned her an external DVD drive.

What additional software does she require in order to play a DVD such
as the Davinci Code?

I know I should know this, but have to confess that I am a total and
complete ludite in this area.

George.
