You will need to look at the terms of the contract of purchase and the returns
policy.

This is going to sound crazy to most I suppose, it is!

In March I bought the DM5 and it didn’t take long to get used to most of the
functions: I made some good sound recordings mostly family and friends and
then because one of my friends was impressed with the recordings, she bought
the same product except that it wasn’t – she purchased it from RNIB as I had
done but it is the 675 which is presumably newer. It has three microphones
instead of two, it doesn’t have Daisy facility and there are a couple of other
differences.
I thought tat with three microphones it would produce better recordings so I
now have one as well as the DM5 but find that it is far less accessible. There
is speech but it doesn’t work with all the functions. My question is: is it
likely to be updated as the DM5 has been and how will I become aware of these
updates?
Am I correct in thinking I have 14 days to return this product (it arrived
last Saturday) and if there is a fair chance of it being updated with more
speech I will keep it. I am certain that the DM5 did not originally speak the
time settings as this does not: probably more things besides.

Sorry for the long post: I do hope it has made sense.

  Mandy.
