AS I have never had any vision, diagrams mean absolutely nothing to me.
However, I have seena 3d model of Lichfield cathedral and was able to get an
idea of what it is like. Had this simply been a 2 dimentional diagram it
wouldn't have meant anything to me.

The National Tactile Diagram Centre that was in Hertford, has now been taken over by RNIB in Birmingham. Sorry I can't quickly lay my hands on exact details, but I'm sure a call to Directory Enquiries for RNIB Birmingham will get you there.

Hi, there's the national centre for tactile diagrams, good
largebut not cheap, in Hertfordshire, but I recently visited Salisbury cathedral and they had tactile 3d models, oneand relatively simplified full one that gave a sense ofwherewallsdifferent bits were and things like relative heights etc, they also had a sort of plan/model with raised bits foraccess related.and pillars, almost as if someone had gone through the cathedral with a chain saw six inches above the ground...
Definitely worth having a look/feel!
