Avoid Vista like the plague!
Its short existence says it all!

My guess is that the machine needs some tuning up.
I suspect, like me, you don't have the expertise to dive into the registry.
In view of this, I bought a utility called Tune Up utilities from a company
called Clevergridge.
I think it was about £20 as the UK conversion from Euros.

Subject: [access-uk] DELL LAPTOP VISTA READY or DUMP

Hi All,

I have an 8-year-old Del computer which was running XP and became very
sluggish. Now that XP is no longer supported, I have to decide whether to
ditch it completely or obtain a copy of VISTA and get it up and running
again. It won't take Windows 7, unfortunately

Is Vista really worth running and where might I obtain a cheap copy? If you
have one to sell, please let me know.
