Although the Pure Evoke 2 is great, you said your wife wanted to carry the radio from room to room. The Evoke 2 eats batteries as though they are going out of fashion. It works much better on the mains. We have one in our kitchen, and would not be without it. Also, the only roberts DAB radio I have used in anger is the Gemini 3. It is ok for carrying about, but has a rather boxy sound and vibrates if you turn it up too loud. I bought a Sainsbury's red DAB radio which was really good on the mains but suffered from interference on batteries. It went back. Some people like the Bush TR2003. This works well on batteries and mains, but has a tendency to fall over if knocked. Apologies for being so negative, but this is my experience. Pele West -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
