Hi Steve,
You are right about the quality of streams but DAB can be a great advantage for
sporting events without the 30 seconds to 1 minute delay on the broadcasts and
battery life has improved for DAB over the years.

Wow, do people still use DAB? I find the quality sup-par and generally can
get higher quality streams on Internet radio.

I recommend the Roberts Play which is portable for carrying, has tactile
buttons, and can run on alkaline or rechargeable batteries. There are
probably lots of other sets on the market, but I haven't looked for a long
time given the growth in digital assistants.
Kind regards,

Hi all,
After years of loyal service, my digital radio had finally died after falling
on to the kitchen floor. Although he used to reside in the bathroom, he was
my kit of choice for listening to TMS. I'm looking for a replacement. I'm
after something not small, but not big.Something I can hear over the sound of
the shower, and something relatively accessible. My last radio took 4 AA
battereies, so that might give you an idea of its size and power. If anybody
can suggest anything, I would be very grateful.
Cheers,
BJ
