Yes, it will convert to many languages. It only requires you to have some sapi4 or sapi5 voices for the corresponding language installed on your PC.

would this programme convert text files to mp3 in another language? French, for instance? or would you have to have its French version installed.
Thanks for any info.

Eleanor, you can set the convertion rate up to 100x. I usually set it to around 40. As to exactly how long it's going to take ok it wouldn't tell you, but it doesn't take long, unless it's a very long file. If you look in the voices and file options menu in text aloud options you can set stuff like that.

John what exactly do you mean about setting the speed. I understand what you are saying about real time. How would I know how long it is going to be?

Hi Eleanor, yes you can play it on your computer or an mp3 player. As far as convertion to mp3 goes you can set the speed. You don't need to do it in real time.

i WOULD BE INTERESTED TO KNOW, SAY Barbra uses this software to record for her client or whatever, then can that person play it on their computer or MP3 player or do they also need the software? Also if I had a 100 page file with multiple files can I get it to convert straight away and how long would it take or do I litterally have to listen to the 100 pages first and then save as MP3?

         Hi All

I need to do something either for free or for a small cost.

I have some MS Word notes for a student. The student has requested them in audio format. How can I do this?
