Hi Ed As I posted, I just want something simple but tidy without loads of bells and whistles that aren't necessary. I know there has been a lot of list discussion on WordPress, but I haven't followed the various threads because it wasn't applicable to me then. I had a look at the ReadMe file that came with the installation package I downloaded, and I just thought: "oh no". In other words, I didn't understand it much, (smile). Hi Jackie, It's useful to know HTML even if you use a Content Management System like Wordpress or Drupal if you want to be certain that your site is accessible. Depending on how big the site is you want to design, you might decide you can just do it with a text editor and don't need something like Wordpress. Sadly there's no fully accessible WISYWIG HTML editor, and generally speaking, screen readers don't offer that much support to web designers as they (rightly I suppose) concentrate on features that the majority of users want.
