Hi Barry thanks for this information but this doesn't seem to work for me as neither of my JFW programmes are in start menu.

Sorry for such basic stuff.

You can put an icon on your desk top by going to the version of Jaws in the
start menu and hitting right applications key, which is to the left of the
right control key. Arrow down the list to *send to*, hit enter then arrow
down to *Desktop, create short cut to* and hit enter.
You will now have the icon you want on your desk top. If you want to create
a hot key for this, go to the icon on the desktop, hold down alt and press
enter. Tab to *short cut key, create hot key* and press enter. Press the
key combination you want for Jaws then tab to *ok* and enter. You're done.

Hi how do I do this if Jaws isn't running in desktop i used to go to
desktop and press j for whichever Jaws i wanted and do it from there but it
isn't showing up in jaws and i'm doing a YouGov survey and the checkboxes
don't show up with Jaws 8 so need a lower version to hand.
