Hi all -

Somebody was telling me that cordless landline phones, are constantly pulsing
micro waves, and are as high risk as mobile phones when it comes to health
issues [taking in to account that the data for mobiles and health is still to a
large degree uncertain]

I was a bit confused by this; I thought that it was the landlines that were
digital, but that base units used infrared or something to transmit the signal
to the cordless hand set.

This also got me thinking about cordless headphones, and if they might pose a
health issue. I know we are bombarded by radiation in the atmosphere and in our
homes from all the electrical devices in use, so does anybody have a better
understanding than the rather sketchy one I have? I keep my wireless router in
a separate room, but wonder if having my lap top on my knee for long periods of
time means an increase risk from broadcast signals. So, what are the signals
being transmitted between cordless devices, and are some potentially of greater
risk to health than others.

Googling for this info produces rather mixed results!

Regards -

Andy
