But no battery low warning at all. I hate cordless phones like that.
Off to investigate the Panasonics. Do they tell you when battery is low
audibly?
By the way, audio quality on the Powertel is rubbish too, especially through
the loudspeaker.

The powertel 710 from Cobolt is quite good and takks reading
names in your directory letter by letter.
The phones are somewhat gobby and not that light though they
function well. The buttons are quite big but not too unweilded!
