Hi, in the case of RF this is true, but the RS180's are gital, the sound uncompressed. Wired cans, and certainly high end cans would win out over any RF cans, but not so with those in the Sennheiser Clear range. I find the sound of the 180's superior to the wired cans I use for mixing, which cost me £350 ten years ago. The only reason I don't use these for recording is the latency issue, being cordless.

                   John.

Hi Carol.

You could try the following for Sennheiser cordless headphones:
http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/search.doSearch.cfm?search=sennheiser+cordless

Good prices and great service and use them often.

I'd argue that cordless phones wouldn't give the same quality as wired phones as there's obvious use of RF to transmit and conversion at each end but for convenience it's a different matter.

Regards.

Yes, we probably will do but haven't bought for some years so was just asking in case there were any other recommendations.

Looks like I'll be buying Sennheiser as they're obviously still available. Any idea of the best outlet or can you still buy them directly?

Hi Carol, don't you want to stick with Sennheiser? Mine
are Sennheiser RS180, and not only are they the best
wireless cans I've ever had, they knock spots off a lot
of high end wired cans. They take two triple A batteries,
one in each side, and operate for up to 24 hours on a
                   charge. They're also very comfortable.
John.

Hi all,

We recently have seen the sad demise of our old
Senheiser headphones and would like to replace these to
allow free movement around our home whilst listening
without going for a complete airplay (or similar)
system. Does anyone have any recommendations, please?
