Has anyone had difficulty in getting through to the RNIB Helpline today? I have had the phone on hands-free next to me for almost an hour. One guy tells you to hold on or press 0 to leave a message, while a female comes on saying that they have a high volume of calls on Mondays and Fridays, and that if the call is non-urgent, it would be better to call back on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday am. Did you ever hear the like of this? You would think RNIB was a multi-national organisation with masses of call centres around the world. If they got their talking book service in order, I wouldn't need to contact them in the first place. As it is, I need to chase up lost books, and I can't even get through. Apart from having a good rant and letting off steam, is anyone else finding this incompetence? And is RNIB Helpline only running part-time these days? This is a seriously ridiculous situation.
