[access-uk] Computer jamming up

Hi,
When I switch my computer on, Vista at first is loading up new updates,
but it keeps on jamming to the point that I can not switch off the
computer, unless I hold down the button to tern on the computer. Can any
one tell me what to do as I can not access the computer at all?
