A couple of more idea's!
Did you try "you can do it?" they offer computing courses a lot cheaper than
other places, and they have their trainers all over the country!
Did you ever consider applying for a grant for training with your devices?
I think, that might help, because you could get full use of your device!
What is it, you find difficult with the victor reader stream? Is it something
i, or colleagues from our team could help with over the phone?
And, did you try to contact bcab?
They might run weekend sessions?
Just ideas, hope something helps!

I suppose it breaks down into three areas:
Firstly, I own
but have never found out how to use it successfully.
Secondly, I find much of the terminology surrounding the internet and
computing in general confusing.
I have both a Braille sense on hand and a victor reader stream and both
of them when I am away from home can prove problematic when going on line.
The help manuals advise importing this or that, but I don't know what they
are talking about.
Thirdly, Jaws and WindowEyes are fine, but I am often wrecked when my
computer reboots and a visual message appears demanding a prompt, but I
have know idea it is there.
How Jaws and WindowEyes have the nerve to say that "they make computers
accessible" I don't know.
Really what I think I need, god I can't be alone, is say a couple of
weekend courses which are then backed up by a volunteer.
I understand why trainers have to charge so much for a days training but I
honestly don't know how people can afford it, I can't.
Perhaps this sounds like a disgruntled blind man, but I have had more help
from this list than anywhere else since my sight went.
On a final point does anybody know who the local voluntary group for the
blind is in London C4?
