Subject: [access-uk] Compressing emails in OE

A totally blind friend is using Window Eyes and the latest version of OE.
He has a very quietly running machine, and when he shuts down, he is not aware of the message telling him that messages are being compressed, so he disconnects the power supply.

He has now learned to wait a few minutes, or ask someone sighted to have a look, but the question is - is it possible to turn off this feature in OE?
I don't think so, but does anyone else know better?

We'd be grateful for any advice.
Ted
